Raiser’s Edge Database Specialist
The Raiser’s Edge Database Specialist will work in a busy administrative office at Geauga Humane Society’s Rescue Village to provide Raiser’s Edge database support. This individual will work closely with the Development Director and Business Manager. Must appreciate the Mission of Rescue Village.
Essential Functions:
~Assist with maintaining the integrity of the database by updating constituent records, running reports, performing bulk updates, etc.
~Provide reports to various departments requesting information from the database using the Raiser’s Edge Query, Export and Report functions.
~Help troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
~Execute the Honor/Memorial program
~Assist with conducting prospect research to produce lists and donor profiles.
~Manage gift receipt, entry, tracking and acknowledgment process, including timely entry of all gifts into donor database; tracks and reports on contribution and pledge payments, ensures production of gift reminders and timely production of acknowledgments and gift receipts.
~Coordinate with Business Manager to ensure reconciliation of gift information
~Attend occasional program events.
~Ensures database is current, maintained and updated for fullest potential and departmental use; perform routine “cleanup” tasks
Minimum Qualifications:
• 2 years experience using fundraising database, Raiser’s Edge experience highly preferred
• Proficiency in data organization and manipulation, with close attention to detail
• Strong computer skills including experience with Access, Excel and Word
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills
• Commitment to confidentiality
• Excellent communications skills
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently as well as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and deadline based environment
Desired Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor’s degree

Experienced Dog Trainer
Rescue Village is looking for an experienced dog trainer to teach our Good Dog 101 and Puppy Preschool classes.
Requirements:
-Committed to compassion for animals and outstanding customer service skills
-Demonstrated experience with positive reinforcement based training
-Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage scheduling, payments, record keeping, preparing reports
-Hands on experience leading dog behavior classes
-Basic competency using MS Word, Excel and Outlook
-Support for the mission of Geauga Humane Society
