woofstock
empty bowls
a doggone purrfect night

Woofstock 2008 was simply an amazing day. The sun shined brightly on more than 2,000 people and their dogs on what is now considered northeast Ohio’s biggest dog festival. Thank you to all who joined in the festivities and raised over $70,000 for the animals!

February 2009
Empty Bowls 2008 raised a record $65,000 to benefit the animals of
Rescue Village. This souper supper warmed up a wintry February
night with hand designed bowls from celebrities (like Robert
Redford and Sarah Jessica Parker), unique silent auction items,
and a "Raise Your Paws for the Cause" paddles-up auction of
need. Over 350 people went home with their own unique bowl
and a sense of having done something truly meaningful for the
dogs, cats, horses, goats and rabbits at rescue Village. Publicity
reached broadly into northeast Ohio.

June 21, 2008
The short but windy storm that blew by
Rescue Village on the evening of Saturday, June 21, 2008 could
not dampen the enjoyment of those attending the first annual
Doggone Purrfect Night. Under a glowing white tent on the grounds
of Rescue Village, 250 guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner, dancing,
silent auction bidding, tours of Rescue Village and the opportunity
to participate in much-needed fund raising. Generosity abounded
and the hoped-for fundraising goal was surpassed! Join us next
year on Saturday, June 20th for the second annual Doggone Purrfect
Night.
