volunteer training
The first step in joining the volunteer animal care team at Rescue Village is to attend a Volunteer Fair. Regardless of which volunteer position you hope to have, the Volunteer Fair is required for anyone wishing to work with the animals and provides an important foundation for your volunteer experience.
If you are interested in working with the animals, please attend our next Volunteer Fair, on February 29th from 6-9 p.m. Prospective volunteers will have the chance to visit our animal care stations (Cat, Dog, Foster, Barn, Small Animal, TNR, Adopt-a-Thons), ask questions to staff and volunteers and sign up to take a tour. Please plan to stay about an hour (it is not necessary to stay the entire 3 hours as this is an open-house style venue). Prospective volunteers will submit their application to the animal care station that interests them the most and be called for training at a later date based upon the needs of Rescue Village.
If you are interested in a non-animal care volunteer position, please contact the volunteer coordinator directly at 440-338-4819 x. 18 to discuss how you can help.
